Client Feedback

" We knew from the beginning that WNA was different than most other firms.  Their level of detail, commitment to quality, professionalism  and return on investment proposition for their clients excited us, as they are all attributes we strive for as well.."

The Washington Post headquarters had a deteriorating hardwired fire alarm system that did not meet current high rise code requirements.  Due to false alarms, the inability to secure parts, and high maintenance costs, The Washington Post asked Williams Notaro to design a modern addressable high rise system. Our team developed a detailed phased installation plan to implement the new system with minimal impact on the operations of the newspaper.

The new system included all new head-end equipment, a new fire control room, addressable risers, new control equipment on each floor, and code compliant device coverage.  In each phase, the existing system remained in operation until the new system was fully operational.
