AAUW National Headquarters Relocation

William Notaro and Fanelli McClain were contracted by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to provide design services for the construction of their new headquarters in Washington, D.C.  The new office space spans 3 floors and consists of nearly 90 private offices, 6 pantries, 7 conference rooms, and 5 toilet rooms.  The space also features an executive boardroom with a dedicated supplemental HVAC system that provide the flexibility for 24/7 use.  AAUW's new headquarters is also LEED Gold certified.

The new headquarters also includes a few atypical office features.  A server room supporting AAUW's daily operations was designed with a Starline overhead, plug-in busway power system and is served by two glycol-cooled supplemental AC systems.

Additionally, a new stairway was added between the 9th and 10th Floors, opening to a large reception area and gallery on the 10th Floor, providing AAUW a private, yet flexible space for a variety of functions.
